Using LiDAR and Boston Dynamics SPOT, the Project Management class was able to capture a 3D model scan on September 19, 2026. The purpose of this project was to provide the owners of Sarges an as-built model that they could manipulate in preparation for a renovation they hope to complete within the next few years.

Using LiDAR, the Advanced Construction Technologies class was able to complete a 3D scan of the the entire ground floor of the Moore Building on WCU's campus. The purpose of this project was to create an as-built model for J.R. Vannoy Construction and Anchor3D while they were actively working on the renovation for this building.

Using a Trimble X7 LiDAR and a DJI Mavic 3E, this scan was taken of the top floor of the health sciences building at CCC in Hudson NC. The purpose of this project was to find existing dimensions, overhead utilities, and interior layouts for J.R. Vannoy Construction and Anchor3D.

Using a LiDAR, this project scan's purpose was to provide a model for Anchor3D to finalize a bridge design for Wayne Brothers Construction. In Fairview NC, the bridge connecting Possum Grape Ridge to Charlotte Highway was destroyed during the intense flood waters of Hurricane Helene in 2024. Wayne Brothers Construction is donating their time and resources to construct a new bridge to enable access for the residents of Possum Grape Ridge.
