Digitizing Storm Drainage Network for better Maintenance and Emergency Service was a research project led by Dr. Sisi Han and included students John Ramirez-Limon and myself, Scott Alligood Jr. The focus of the project was to capture the elevation and grade of storm water drains by using a mobile LiDAR with real-time kinematics (RTK). Our project was done on WCU's Campus and we were able to capture a scan of nearly all roads and parking lots with the mobile LiDAR and we were also able to made a 3D model of the track and field parking lot that was experiencing flooding.
